I lived at Brookside for 6 months in 2013 Didnt have terrible issues It was my last semester of college and I was looking for a cheap place to live before I started working and could afford a nicer place Fast forward to the spring of 2015 when Im trying to rent another apartment during my credit check it was discovered that I had 200 in collections for Brook 2016-05-10T22:00:09Z
I lived at Brookside for 6 months in 2013 Didnt have terrible issues It was my last semester of college and I was looking for a cheap place to live before I started working and could afford a nicer place Fast forward to the spring of 2015 when Im trying to rent another apartment during my credit check it was discovered that I had 200 in collections for Brookside I was thoroughly confused because I always paid my rent there on time I called Brookside and they were extremely unhelpful and told me they didnt even have the records that I ever lived there any longer After extensive research and talking with the collections company I found out it was for cleaning fees that they charged me They never once called or mailed me about this even though they had my number and forwarding address As soon as I found out about this I paid immediately Now in the spring of 2016 I am STILL having a hard time renting because of this Even though it is paid it shows up that I was in collections at one point from an apartment home My credit score is excellent but I will always have to go through extra measures to ensure that I will indeed pay my rent Such a nightmare and totally not worth it Unfortunately all of this is indicative of the type of company they run Dishonest and very unhelpful more ... hide ...

Apartments have garbage dumpster right downwind odor was a problem Managers are rude unknowledgeable got me out bc of me complaining about smokers inside apt in a nonsmoking bldg Ended up having throat tumor bc of that Apartments r cheaply constructed They r income based and location is great if u have to walk to food store or downtown area

Safe grounds are exceptionally kept management is professional and community is peaceful It is a great place to live in the gateway of the Blue Ridge mountains in downtown Travelers Rest SC

I give it four stars only bc the rooms are on the smaller side This is a low income apartment complex and it shows But still not a bad place to live
