It took me awhile to type this because Im not normally a review person BUT maybe this very honest review will assist the owners at BloomStonekey Group to consider the residents who assist in keeping them in their nice homes and families fed instead of only being concerned with the rent money due by the 5th of every month Ive lived in Bloom for 6 years and have watched the property switch from owner to owner And over this period of time the property and staff have gotten worse When I first moved into Bloom there were minor issues in the unit I leased but nothing that affected my quality of living at that time Well fast forward 3 years The magnitude of turnovers from staff maintenance and residents is unbelievable Theres always an issue with the water being shutoff with short notice or no notice at all until your ready to take a shower on average 3 5 times a month The apartments are very outdated for the amount of current rent to stay competitive in the housing market as Ive been told by the Site Manager The maintenance staff has quit and been rehired many times over the course of my stay Ive experienced good residents come and go due to the inconsistency with this property with me always feeling like I mustve gotten the better unit out of the others Everyone employed at the beautiful Bloom at Buford apartments is Hispanic other than the Office Manager which makes communication very challenging when issues for maintenance or simple communication to the office staff is necessary The final straw is that the same issues keep arising in my unit with only patch up work completed which results in me being inconvenienced while staff sit idly by because they dont have to experience these issues The property was built in 1989 and theres several instances of pipes busting as I currently sit due to them being so old The reason Ive continued to stay because I love the safety of being in Gwinnett BUT its time to bring this relationship with Bloom to an end sometimes we get complacent My rent is paid on time every month but the quality of living has taken a drastic decline The pandemic cant be blamed for character Theres an open invitation for any staff member at Bloom to comment because you know Im coming with receipts

Im posting an update I do not care if your location is 100 years old no elderly person on a FIXED income should have rent go up like this Period Not to mention forcing them to move and eat most of the expenses Everyday someone is moving out You know good and well this is unacceptable so do not bother responding trying to explain Change 100 yes I can understand this but well over 100 raised in rent and forcing tenants to move like this It is disheartening and unacceptablennI hope and pray someone sees this They are financially abusing the seniors in this community They remodeled the cottages went up on the rent by 250300 per month forced the seniors to move immediately to another unit that is not even comparable to what they had They are also choosing to pay less than 500 in moving expenses with some seniors getting only 300 to move with Seniors are on a fixed income and cannot afford an increase like this They bullied the seniors and told them they will have to move where they are placing them or move out I have decided to go to the Attorney General about this because I do not like the way my mother is being treated It is sad and disheartening
