So I have been living in Avalon Apartments almost 4 years I established internet service when covid first hit so my children could attend School virtually in 2020 April of 2021 I started having issues with my internet service which caused me to have the technician for the internet company to come out to service each time he came out there was nothing he could do about it and he stated that a new wall fish line needed it to be installed The technician informed me that it was not the internet companys responsibility that my landlord needed to get an electrician in to replace that wall fish line so when he told me that I contacted my landlord which to this day has not placed a new line There has been several attempts to get them to come and fix it and no attempt has been successful I have been now over 1 year without established internet service installed here in the apartment Every since June of 2021 I have been buying gigs on a WiFi box which has become extremely expensive and I cannot afford it The last time I contacted the office about 1 month ago I was told that the next time I seen the maintenance man in the street to ask them what was the problem This has been an ongoing issue Ive had to turn down at home jobs my children have not been effectively able to complete virtual learning because the management refuses to get it done and I dont understand what the problem is If I could give no stars for the rest of my complaints I would but Ill save those reviews for another date lets start with this one first more ... hide ...

Go somewhere else This apartment isnt so bad but its in the middle of the hood and crime is HIGH in the area Cars are constantly getting broken into shots are fired often and theres always stolen vehicles in the parking lot Parts of it are Section 8 so youre getting what you pay for The walls are paper thin all around Im pretty sure maintenance just gave 2021-11-22T22:26:09Z

I left a pretty bad review the first time I moved in and I probably was a little harsh I didnt move in under great circumstances However Since the review the management has stepped up the care and improvements since I arrived We got a new BarBQue Pavilion with nice fireplaces Plus the parking lot was replaced and we got energy efficient appliances which I tr 2021-12-11T22:38:54Z
I left a pretty bad review the first time I moved in and I probably was a little harsh I didnt move in under great circumstances However Since the review the management has stepped up the care and improvements since I arrived We got a new BarBQue Pavilion with nice fireplaces Plus the parking lot was replaced and we got energy efficient appliances which I truly appreciate Maint Team is awesome Everytime I put in a work order one of the guys come through and fixed it almost the same day I like that they keep the same friendly faces so you know whos coming and going around the lofts This was my first apartment after losing my home in a fire two years ago I stayed as long as I did because I loved the scenery around the lofts maint does an amazing job on the lawns and such Plus the big windows sold me and open floor space Every place has its good and bad just learn to love your home more ... hide ...

Apartments are very old and are in need of many modifications Too many reoccurring maintenance issues to involved multiple gas leaks severe plumbing issues causing flooding in the units multiple times in which came from other peoples toliets and places where there was running water Management was constantly changing every five to six months in which some managers lacked communication management and people skills Many things that needed to be fixed where either patched up or half done No one rarely answered the office phone during regular business hours I actually stood somewhere out of sight called from my cell phone as I watched the manager just sitting at her desk When asking to speak to the manager upon my call being answered the manager spoke in third person stating the manager was not there and would return after 130 Many potential residents and current residence who were on government assistance programs would constantly run into problems with their already completed paperwork mysteriously disappearing when applying for an apartment or renewing their lease then are made to redo the paperwork again or make them reproduce documents that are time consuming to retrieve Sometimes such process is time consuming that it would usually go over the appointed date to return all paperwork Once it goes over the date they will get a letter stating they fail to comply all the while they are working someone else into the unit that the potential resident applied for just to be told the apartment is no longer vacant I later found out one of the managers did me the same way by placing my documents in another persons file then writing me a letter threatening to stop my lease due to noncompliance yet she was the same manager that took my original documents and signed off it herself The manager wrote a handwritten letter in which she falsified information and fasley accused me of something I didnt do Even the residents personal information where not protected due to this same manager allowing a resident who was her friend help her file and manage private information of the tenants She had this same individual spying on people so she can report back to the office And instead of talking to the resident that was reported on this manager went by heresay and wrote people up without warning A neighbor actually said to me that they asked her to watch certain people so she could report on them and thats when it came out about the friend Shortly after that I became a victim of tax fraud which was so coincidental after this person and this manager were handling my file This manager was fired and the resident was evicted after different regional and corporate managers came to the office because Northgate was being audited These statements I made are hereby true based on the testomonies of many disgruntle residents who actually shared their concerns with me about the things mentioned above more ... hide ...
