Im a new resident in this community Coming From another SLF in Gurnee I find the first few weeks at a Deerpath of Huntley to be somewhat unsettling After suffering a massive brain stroke and hemorrhage in1997 Ive spent hundreds almost thousands of hours in heavy therapy to learn to walk talkand chew The staff at Deerpath is mostly friendly and usually helpf 2022-02-23T03:24:37Z

I agree with all of the other reviews There is zero communication in this facility The social worker tried to call me and tell me my mother had cognitive issues when no one realized that she was getting Oxycotton Norco and Tramadol all on different rotations Really Then the physical therapist is trying to assess her physical capability whilst on these medications Wow I demanded a nurse be on the phone with the nosey social worker listening in via three way The nurse was shocked and lowered her medications instantlynnThen THERE IS NO WIFI What in the actual You know what I went to the nurses station and told her that the public wifi wasnt working She didnt care and wouldnt give me the other wifi for Alden which had a stronger connection for the second floor How in the heck is my mother supposed to entertain herself while she is here Who watches regular TV anymore What a prison this place is Why would the staff completely block off their residents from the outside world like that This is seriously elderly abuse Turn the wifi on Make it stronger or make it work This is so ignorant and archaic and unacceptable and inappropriate So abusive more ... hide ...
