The Board of Directors from Conner Houses nonprofit owners as well as the project management company have been making great strides in several improvements as well as giving the tenants a voice in the process You can see the tenants have also began to take pride in their home the beautiful ecofriendly grounds and the neighborhood Plans for more outside gathering places and possibly a community garden for the 24 residents 27 if you count the 4 legged residents are already in the works for the summernnThe staff are friendly maintenance requests are responded to promptly and yes they even show up at 3am if you lock yourself out ok it only happened oncennNo home is perfect and The Conner House is no exception The interior can look a little beige more beige and more beige The office is only open a few hours a day or an afternoon every other day which is understandable with only 24 residents but it can get frustrating sometimes when you just miss them 34 days in a row The pond in back which could be getting a fountain this summer seems to have become the favorite place for some of the more unruly Canadian geese making walking my Chiwinnie more of a carry my Chiwinnie However animal friendly efforts seem to be paying off Although Garfield Park residents may disagree just kiddingnnThe one and really the only big setback living in The Conner House is not having a larger grocery store or pharmacy in walking distance so the only fresh fruits or vegetables around are a bag of Cheetos and a box of Skittles for 3x the price Yes their is a bus stop 100 feet away but mass transit in Indianapolis is more like a trip back to the 1980s plan to wait awhile Oh and the city must think a bench to sit and wait on is just too luxurious for SODA neighborhood yes weve named our little corner of paradise South Of Downtown Area Finally if you do feel brave and head out for a stroll dont think Indy is gonna make it easy because their are no sidewalks You must choose the more rustic route by climbing in and out of large muddy or snowy drainage valleys or try a more urban adventure by clinging to the edge of a very busy 3 lane Raymond Ave with an array of semi trucks and late for work commuters heading downtown through our peaceful treelined SODA

Horrible apartments Had me and my son living in mold for 3 years and after i had my 2nd child i had to call the health department because they refuse to deal with the mold even though it went half way up mu wall and got on my furniture and had me in the hospital sick with toxic blood They are upset with me now because i called the health department about my stove and fridge not working forthe last month and they are threatening to evict me i call and let them know that my oven wouldnt heat up and my fridge waa warm and my food spoiled and molded after only a few days which surprised me Now they are saying that i have to donate my 1 and 4yo toys because they are taking up too much space in the little room along with the twin bed pack n play and my daughters jeep and kitchen set They also wont tell me where i can put my dirty laundry since i have it in a basket and laundry bags in front of my broken washer and in the corner I was shocked that maribel in the leasing office told me to give my kids toys away to goodwill then lied and said she never said it just 30 mins later I have 8 broken ribs and they want me to walk blocks to the laundromat Its been a month and they still havent fixed my oven and fridge Im just going to wait until the health inspector calls in 2 weeks and let them know Maintenance lied to thee man and said that they gave everyone new smoke detectors in Dec and asked what i did with mine I cant stand liars
