My mother lived here for over 10 years and she absolutely loved it My mother had lived in her own home and for a few years with three of her four daughters However she loved her independence and Westminister allowed that for her and her little dognThe staff truly loved my mother and all of the other residents as well There was always something for the residents to donMy sisters and I always knew that mother was safe and had easy access to emergency services if needed I could go on and on with the amenities as well as the perks of living in this facility My mother was an independent 96yearold woman who was able to remain independent until her death just this month October 2020 Westminster allowed her not only to remain independent but also to be happy during the time that she was there If she had not been so happy she would not have remained as healthy as she was before finally going to her death from heart failure Thank you Westminister and all of the staff for being who you are God bless each and everyone of you more ... hide ...

This is a very unique place and a great first apartment for someone just starting out without a lot of money The building is over 100 years old so its not without its problems but any issue Ive had was resolved quickly and professionally Although all the units are enclosed within the building Ive never had any problem with noisy neighbors Everyone Ive met has been incredibly nice You need a key fob to get inside so Ive never really felt unsafennThe building is next door to a fire station and the police station is down the street a bit so be prepared to hear sirens at any and all hours of the daynight Its not frequent enough to really bother me personally but I can understand why it might put some people off Theres also a train that runs through townnnThe building is within walking distance of a lot of different restaurants and shops in Hammonds downtown area and close to a parking lot that is occasionally blocked off for fun special eventsnnI can only speak about my own experience living at Hammond Eastside School Apartments but overall Ive been very happy with my stay more ... hide ...
