Villa Michelangelo in Bostons North End is not a nursing home It is an apartment complex which was converted from a school it offers lowincome housing for seniors and you get what you pay for While the main building has central AC in the halls in summer the Annex does not so the halls can be suffocatingly stuffy all year round The main building is fairly well insulated from noise but the annex building is not so you hear every toilet flush every foot step loud voices and even creaking furniturenDue to the ineptitude of EBCDE and Metro Management Read mismanagement the roof leaked for 8 years 9095 of the residents are North Enders with their own code of behavior and lack of ethics If you are an Outsider you stand a pretty good chance of being ostracized persecuted slandered libeled threatened and even physically harmed Management takes NO stand in defending the downtrodden and tell you simply If you have a problem call the police They do nothing to protect residents They misappropriate funds by buying new televisions which no one watches and planters for the roof But they will not replace worn carpeting cracked and broken formica and if a bulb burns out residents must pay for replacement no matter that the energy savers were there before you moved innI would not recommend Villa Michelangelo or any property governed by EBCDC andor Metro Management as they are negligent incompetent and ignorant to the needs of seniors and minorities more ... hide ...
