The Beacon House is an economical place to stay when one needs to be close to MGH not to mention it is in a lovely old section of one of Bostons most famous neighborhoods Though most of the apartments are residential the first 2 floors are available for guests with hospital connected needs Each suite is decorated nicely and has a bathroom big enough for wheelchair needs a kitchenette with dishes and silverware in case youd like to eat in a WHOLE FOODS Store is close by with a fabulous hot or cold buffet take out selectionyou can also eat there if you choosethey open at 700 AM so this is a great place for a hot breakfast before heading off to MGH 2 chairs and a table beds as requested TV land line phone service extra bedding and pillows and 24 hour security in the lobby which is beautifully finished and in keeping with that turn of the century Boston style There are a number of good restaurants in the area in all different price ranges Also MGH has a wonderfully full and diverse cafeteriait is a real pleasure to eat there Call to make sure there is enough room for you to stay as it can fill up fast When dealing with hospital visits its nice to know there is a safe place to stay near by Also a single friend who stayed there said the police were more than willing to take her from MGH at night to the front door of the Beacon House and they watched to make sure she got inside safely I truly recommend the Beacon House and hope this review has been helpful for you more ... hide ...
