Lived here from 20132014 Newer building Nice location Road noise is not too bad Located in probably one of the lowest crime areas in DuluthnThe hot water heater didnt have enough capacity for whole building in the morningsnThere is a large clean laundry room on the first floor with three washers and dryers a utility sink a large folding table and some wheeled laundry cartsnThere is a small lobby area and a large community room on the first floornEach apartment has a large wheelchairaccessible shower with a ceilingmounted heat lamp in bathroom but my ventilation fan was underpowered so it would get quite steamy if I didnt leave the bathroom door opennThere is undercounter space for wheelchair accessibility in the kitchen area and bathroom which unfortunately left less than adequate space for storage There is a hood with a fan over the stove but it didnt actually vent to anywhere except right back into the apartmentnIn my onebedroom apartment there was a mediumsized coat closet a small storage closet and a large bedroom closetnThere is a lack of adequate noise insulation if you have a noisy upstairs neighbor thankfully I didntnThe heating system is was not adequate to keep your windows free of condensation frost and mildew on cold winter days You have a thermostat in your apartment for heat and air conditioning but the maintenance guy needs to turn on the heat in winter and the AC on in spring so if the weather is too hot on early spring days or too cold on early fall days youre out of lucknWhen I lived here the maintenance person worked at multiple locations and wasnt given the support he needed from main office he was competent and a great guy but he was mostly used to act as a policeman for the bad tenants at the other Accessible Space properties and wasnt given enough support for keeping our building as nice as it could have beennWhen I first moved in I noticed a nasty smell in my apartment The previous tenant had had a dog that peed all over the carpet When I called the main office the manager acted like I was making it up or that it was my fault The maintenance guy who was brand new to the job checked it out and had the whole carpet replaced like it should have been it had only been shampooed and eventually that office manager was fired for her poor behavior from listening to the other residents stories she apparently had a history of treating renters badlynYou should definitely have a car or someone to give you a ride if you live here the nearby bus stop only has service a couple of times a day and there are no sidewalks to local businesses Stone Ridge Shopping Center looks close on a map but theres a fence and a steep slippery rock hillcliff most of the way around it thats a workout to navigate in the summer and unclimbable in the winternWhen I lived here almost all of the tenants were female mostly older women and there was little drama besides the usual gossip and no alcoholics drug users or violent or abnormally unstable people Most everyone was polite if not helpful to each othernEven though theres room for improvement this is probably one of the best lowincome apartment buildings in Duluth

If I could give Common Bond and Winwood a 0 star rating I would Management has zero idea what theyre doing They hire on 20 different managers in a year Maintenance is extremely lazy so if anything breaks or needs fixing youre better off trying to fix it for yourself They dont care about any of their tenants
