1 COMMUNICATION Trellis management knows how to acquire buildings for low income housing and in that regard is providing a needed service However Trellis still doesnt know that it MUST communicate respectfully with the residents and provide a means for residents and activities director to communicate Trellis FAILS this We dont need a useless TV in the exercise room That TV should be in the lobby above the fireplace where TrellisTrinity and the activities director can post notices and updates and calendars for the residentsn2 SECURITY Trellis should have built security into Trinity Apartments when it was rehabed instead two years after the fact That shows poor planning foresight insight into peoples behavior understanding of this neighborhood and caring for this vulnerable community You shouldve secured the kitchen separately so residents could use the community roomn3 PATIO Overheated in the summer because it lacks shade You need to put something in the rafters above the gas grills to provide shade in that area The umbrellas are useless because it takes two 2 people to open them Also they dont tilt so when the afternoon sun hits they dont provide shade at the tables And they lift out of the tables in heavy winds Same for the back tables And no one uses the expensive gas grills Allinall poor planningn4 VISIONSUMMARY I think Trellis lacks overall vision Apparently Trellis believes all it has to do is provide little boxes for the low income to live in independently and prefers that the low income residents be invisible If Trellis was a forproit corporation I think it would be in trouble
