This was my first apartment ever My air conditioning was leaking water due to admitted improper installation and the landlords Jim and Gina reluctantly had someone come to fix it Then my heater did not function for the ENTIRE WINTER The office manager Lori definitely let me know what an inconvenience it was for them to need to lend me a space heater for a second time The technician that they sent to fix the heater verbatim saidwhen I installed this unit it gave me problems so I just closed the wall up So in order to fix your heat I would need to open your wall and the wall of the apartment above you and thats not worth it So I was stuck without heat for the entire winter The elevator gets stuck almost every time you use it and the landlords hate when you bring it up to them Due to the fact that I had asked for my air conditioning and heater to be in working condition I received an email toward the end of my lease stating that they would refuse to renew a lease with me if I wanted to stay which I definitely did not This was handsdown the worst rental experience that I could think of All that I did was ask for help to have a livable apartment with basic necessities that were included in my lease agreement and was made to feel like the bad guy for making such requests Oh yeah Jim and Gina also leave the locked doors that allow access to the apartments propped open when they decide to have a party in the main lobby Meaning that anyone from the general public in downtown Poughkeepsie is able to walk freely throughout what was promised to be a secure area
