DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU My lease ended in April In March management and I agreed in writing to one extra month to end May In midApril I made multiple attempts to ascertain if there was any additional types of notification needed per the lease to make sure they knew I was leaving at the end of May This included voicemail messages and coming by the office at 520pm when the office is scheduled to close at 530pm but no one was there I had to take off work to be there at that time and could not take off any more work to come by again So I called several times but never got ahold of someone so I left messages that I was leaving at the end of May I made arrangements to move after giving these notifications At the end of May I stopped by the office and management was finally present I told them I intended to turn in my keys At that point management informed me that they knew of none of the verbal written both to the same individual or voicemail messages given that I was leaving and demanded another month of rent due immediately When I protested they indicated that the lease states 30 days of written notice is required and that the prior written notice of just one additional month did not count nor did the messages I had left in the previous month I proceeded to pay the additional month of rent despite unanticipated financial hardship this presented DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU
