Let me start out by saying Ive lived at Regent Terrace for 6years Four of those years in a one bedroom that rarely had any issue I transferred to a two bedroom apartment and thats when everything fell apart In my second month of renting the two bedroom it came to my attention that the hvac closet was extremely water damaged and had been before I moved in Only property management and maintenance have keys to hvac closets The water damage was extensive enough that there was mold and the wall was literally falling apart In addition to that there was a growing roach infestation due to the damagefound by exterminators in hvac closet I asked for the damage to be repaired and was initially told no by the property manager After calling inspections they were given 30 days to repair the damage They did nothing in the 30 day time frame They finally told me it would be repaired but it was instead covered up with a piece of drywall spackle and white spray paint Property management and maintenance deny any accountability They also claim to know nothing of the damage and have no plans to fix it outside of the cover up On top of these facts there are multiple occurrences where things have not been remedied Such as the heating systems that break every few months the growing piles of trash in the back of the building the faulty wiring that causes the smoke alarms to go off randomly etcnnI wouldnt recommend living here Especially not long term FYI there is no balcony access there are no walk in closets the walls are thin enough to hear neighbors talking through them buildings have roachesSome of which are huge The two bedroom apartments second bedroom is about the same size as the bathroom Maintenance are rude and dont complete repairs correctly the first time around The community room is a dingy room with a few tables and chairs The basement smells bad enough sometimes that it travels through the hallways The buildings smoke alarm goes off a lot and is usually left on for hours There have been times where there were peoplewho were not tenants who were sleeping and doing drugs in the hallways Access to trash room is often blocked by a barricade of trash bags placed just outside of the door Your apartment very well may be entered illegallywithout notice and things stolenmoved Of course they will deny it Make sure to get receipts for rent bills paid because they will try to double charge you Most importantly take pictures of EVERYTHING so not to end up paying for things that were in need of repair that were not caused by you personally SEE YELP PAGE FOR PICTURES
