I have lived at Madrona Manor since I moved to Oak Harbor in October 2013 I love living here and it is the perfect location for a single or couple Laura the building manager is fabulous She has always been extremely kind and professional I find her to be an absolute pleasure to work with It will be bittersweet when my husband and I move out of our apartment herennADDEMDUM I had originally posted the review above a little while before moving out After nearly 2 years of being told I was a model tenant and that I would be missed I received a check at my new house of only half of the security deposit I had been expecting After having scrubbed and vacuumed the apartment clean myself replacing blinds and hardware I had met all of the criteria on the move out check list so no one had any extra work to do The building manager had written Very Clean on every single line of the move out inspection page but then at the bottom there was a 196 charge for flea fumigation Having an indoor cat who has NEVER had fleas living on the third floor and never having seen a single flea or even evidence of one I was instantly shocked I had trusted this woman to do an honest move out inspection after having built such a good rapport with her I had attempted to contact her several times in the last few weeks to finalize everything and she had not returned any of my calls I went over to the complex to speak with her in person and even though I very politely raised the subject of the fleas she immediately grew defensive and short with me All of our previous dealings had been sugary and sweet But she wouldnt admit anything was fishy about her claims and informed me that the housekeeper had been EATEN ALIVE by fleas and had marks all over her body I asked if she had been rolling on the carpet There is absolutely nothing in the unit for any flea to be feeding on The place is spotless and I went over all the miserable thin low quality carpeting with my Dyson Animal several times for good measure So after exhausting all of my logic on this woman she just sat there and rudely shook her head insisting our unit had had evidence of fleas I am very sad to say that this woman cannot be trusted Dont move here if you want to do business with HONEST integridous people
