While I love the concierge and maintenance staff at 909 they are the absolute best this leasing office does not care about retaining current residents Ive lived in the building for over three years and have stayed because I liked the community and the price was fair for what the building offered However with my lease renewal on the table my rent was hiked up over 20 percent originally a 27 percent increase then 21 percent after I contacted the office They told me its at market value and while the price is comparable to other buildings in the neighborhood 909 is lacking the amenities that put those buildings at this price pointnnThis is an older building with amenities that do not compare to neighboring buildings The gym is in the basement where I cant get any service to stream music while I work out and WiFi is spotty The last time I rented the theater the projector wouldnt work and we had to move our watch party to the apartment There isnt a rooftop and they dont have any amenities for pets like a dog washing station or private dog park like other buildings have They also got rid of their automatic coffee machine that made lattes and cappuccinos and replaced it for a Keurig The only amenities I take advantage of are guest parking and the printer in the business center Not to mention the features within the apartments are dated and do not compare to what you can find in neighboring luxury buildings Its hard to justify the price point for this building when it only has basic amenitiesnnMy friends have also moved out of 909 recently because of 600 and 700 rent increases What irks me is after they both said they were moving the prices for their apartments dropped significantly roughly a month after they notified the leasing office The new residents were only paying maybe 100200 more than what these two had been for rentnnOther buildings in the neighborhood have clauses in the lease that note the building will not raise rent more than 5 percent This tells me that they care about retaining their residents and want them to say in the community 909 does not It doesnt matter if youve been there for years they only care about squeezing the most money out of you While you may move in and fall in love with the building and staff be prepared for high rent increases when your lease renewal comes around

This was the WORST experience with a mental health provider Ive ever had I was relieved to find a clinic that took Medicaid because I was desperately in need of a psychiatrist for ongoing medication management When I started with the nurse practitioner things were going well and I really thought we connected and that she wasnt just another pillpusher However

This was the WORST experience with a mental health provider Ive ever had I was relieved to find a clinic that took Medicaid because I was desperately in need of a psychiatrist for ongoing medication management When I started with the nurse practitioner things were going well and I really thought we connected and that she wasnt just another pillpusher However no one told me that she was only available Thursdays and Fridays not even full days most of the time and that there was NO back up support at all for emergencies I was hospitalized and could not get anyone there to help me the doctors at GW and I called her and the clinic several times over several days No one escalated my request even though it was clearly an emergency No one was able to support me and so I had to wait until she was back online nearly a week later Both the nurse and clinic were defensive and offered weak apologies Furthermore the nurse was extremely rude in our final call and acted like we had not previously talked about refilling the meds that I was put on in the hospital in fact she had never offered any good solutions in the 5 weeks I worked with her besides putting me on yet another Rx that did nothing I had made it clear that I was very unhappy with being on so many meds to begin with that werent doing a good job managing my bipolar II disorder I understand how much pressure mental health services are under especially during COVID But this experience made my anxiety and stress so much worse and Community Connections should be held accountable for their extremely poor level of care If you can possibly avoid them do so
