UPDATE I usually do not like making reviews for apartments until ive lived there for a while Ive been here since last April so my first year is coming to a close The staff has been working with me since move in even after I randomly and unexpectedly had money issues There were some issues i had with the space at first and due to having janky apartment situat 2022-02-14T22:18:32Z
UPDATE I usually do not like making reviews for apartments until ive lived there for a while Ive been here since last April so my first year is coming to a close The staff has been working with me since move in even after I randomly and unexpectedly had money issues There were some issues i had with the space at first and due to having janky apartment situations before I made sure to have all things documented However i didnt need to have my guard up as much because the staff cooperated with me and have made sure that I was accommodated properly MsKristie is amazing and is the only reason why Im still here and able to have my rent paid for Mr David also worked with me even through my attitude and MrMatt that answers the phone has made sure that everything I need help with is relayed The maintenance also is very attentive and make sure to fix things Ive never lived at a place for more than a year and this place will most likely be my first more ... hide ...

I do not feel positive about my movein James from the office was great until he did not get his way of how to handle the day of my movein After that you could feel the negative energy he had towards me He also DID NOT talk to me during my walk through so I was unable to point out or notice things that looked wrong He surly didnt point out any positive thing 2021-11-13T12:30:07Z
I do not feel positive about my movein James from the office was great until he did not get his way of how to handle the day of my movein After that you could feel the negative energy he had towards me He also DID NOT talk to me during my walk through so I was unable to point out or notice things that looked wrong He surly didnt point out any positive things about the property as well I was expecting to move on the Summerdale side when doing my application but later found out Im in a totally different area James didnt explain that part I had to read and go over my own leasehe didnt even tell me where to find the trash dumpster I had to read closely because HE ALSO DID NOT TELL ME MY RENT AMOUNT He was very unprofessional at that point and the thought of having to deal with him for a year already brings tears to my eyes Moving and starting over is suppose to feel good and he took that away from me Due to COVID it is VERY hard to find a new place so I signed the lease But I no longer feel that was the right decisionnWith that being said AVOID JAMES and maybe try another agent The manager was very nice as well more ... hide ...

Beware of places like this High application fees administration fees as well I dont trust paper applications heres why It allows room for things like what Im about to explain to happen We toured here were ready to apply on the spot The leasing agent was friendly Once the tour was complete we said lets do it Only to hear a voice yelling from the officethe property manager that we cant apply unless we have everything right now In most cases when you tour an apartment applications can be accepted as long as you have id any holding or administrative deposits Typically they dont require you to have the proof of income RIGHT THEN but give you a certain time limit to get it in 24 hrs or whatever the case may be however that wasnt the case for us particularly although I know others who actually recently moved in here and the process wasnt the same for them The property manger overexplain that THE UNIT WILL STILL BE OPEN UNTIL ALL ITEMS ARE RECEIVED if somebody else apply before us they cannot take anymore applications I was told to come back the next day in which I did 2 application fees 100 12500 admin fee 200 holding fee proof of incomeapplication holding on one money order 200 holding on the other Once I step into the office the leasing consultant looked sad and said somebody already has it I replied it must wasnt meant to be I asked if any other units will come available She said they may have one as someone had just put in a 60 day notice however I needed to move by March 1 2022 The leasing consultant step to the property manager office as I was getting ready to leave I heard them low talking back forth in which the consultant told the property manager he knows someone applied for the unit The property manager came out of her office and asked again when I was looking to move I replied March 1 she said we have a unit coming up but its on the fourth floor has carpet I declined As I was getting ready to leave the property manager said Im gonna talk to this other girl who applied for the unit and see what I can do cuz yall were here first Now if we were there first why did the LC say the home was already leased So at this point you are taking our application on a home thats already been held by someone else It takes them 72 hours to complete background and renters verification I contacted the leasing office to follow up was told they are still processing Meanwhile my roommate received an email to set up the resident portal with Oglethorpe apartments I have 5 years in property management experience I have never seen an email go out like that prior to approval and they use onesite That email doesnt automatically generate its a button that has to be pressed to send it They also reached out to my current landlord for rental verification however he even confirmed they never sent the verification email to him They finally called my roommate even though they had been dealing with me the entire time and said we were denied due to Discrepancies in our credit I contacted the next day for Clarification in which I was speaking to the LC and again the property manager was yelling in the back I prefer to speak to them in person I requested the denial letter be sent right then as an experienced property manager I know my Federal fair housing rights had been long violated but Its important to document cross all ts dot all Is Upon arrival greeted by the LC again we wanted to get our holding deposits back just leave because at this point We felt very uncomfortable as we are two openly gay males we feel that played a role in this heavily butchered unprofessional process The property manager never came out her office to greet us she never left her desk however she did yell from the office to make sure a copy of our ids were made by the holding deposits or we couldnt get them back We lost 22500 but thats ok cuz Im gonna ensure this doesnt legally happen to anyone else more ... hide ...

I would like to rate Columbia Mill a MILLION stars I first met Precious who is beyond amazing She worked extremely hard to make sure I became a resident Ms Evelyn was extremely understanding anytime I had any issues CJ was the best maintenance man I ever met in my life So sweet and caring This is truly an amazing team and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here If 2020-06-12T18:46:52Z
