Moved here in 2017 A great option for lower income when our family was struggling Our place has three floors two bedrooms 1 12 bathrooms a basement for laundry workbench and an officeliving area For three people this is a good size place We have a patio that we utilize for personal gardening The basement has some flooding issues that we are responsible for Water comes in through a series of cracks in the west wall when it rains I have tried to patch it with some success Ive had to create a way to route the water to the drain to prevent wide spread flooding Also the drain in the basement backs up at times bringing in some gross stuff Squeegee the floor and run fans is all we can do Apparently there are roots growing through the drain pipes and people are flushing diapers pads tampons wipes and other stuff down the drain casing backups The whole place is also leaning to the west most likely because of the saggingcracked wall in the basementnnThe first few years were normal and uneventful We had all we needed In our little branch of the Pine Tree we used to live next to the President Vice President and treasurer Other neighbors have made living here interesting and frustratingnnThe manager Perry was not a pleasant person to work with He insulted my wife once telling her not to worry your pretty little head We dealt with Sara most of the time but she worked odd hours Don in maintenance has been here for a long time and apparently lives here He knows the places and their quirks I think hes burnt out dealing with the same problems The other maintenance folks are good and come in and take care of the problemsnnOur distaste for Pine tree came in 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic My mom passed and was taking care of my sons service dog I took over care and brought her here Perry chased down my stepson who has autism to confront him about the dog It was too big and exceeded the amount of pets a unit can have We pleaded to allow to keep the dog until my son retuned from his tour in the Marines but that was refused even after a board review We ended up giving the dog to a local family but devastated my sonnnPerry left in 2021 and came under a new manager A week before Christmas we were having issues with leaking under the kitchen sink Don came and replaced the garbage disposal but apparently found roach droppings I was home and wasnt told but a letter was taped to our door that we needed to gut our kitchen for spraying We asked for the proof because when we looked under the sink there wasnt any roach droppings that we could see The new manager said that Don had a picture but wouldnt show us the photo and we are unsure if this photo was added to our file We did what was needed and put everything back when spraying was fine A week later they vine back to spray again There was nothing in the initially provided document that they would be back for a second spray Management said a notice was posted on our door To our knowledge there was no notice posted I am working from home all day long We packed everything up again When the pest control technician came I explained why he was there and he said that if we didnt find dead bugs after his first spray we probably didnt have roaches We feel very targetednnOverall a good place to live but we are out growing the place and need privacy One day when we move out we will probably lose a significant amount of of our initial 8000 depositinvestmentbuy in to the cooperative because of repairs that are mostly wear and tear Document thoroughly if you get one of there places more ... hide ...

This apartment complex is a scam I had lived there for four years During those four years we had 7 different property managersnnWhen I first tried to move Into WH I was assigned a unit for August 1st But when the day came around to move in they said they wouldnt have a unit until August 18th Well my family and I couldnt wait an extra two weeks to move in so we took a unit that had yet to be cleaned So because of that I myself cleaned the dirty walls and rented a carpet cleaner to clean the carpetnnFast forward four years our 7th property manager Walter helms was actively trespassing in our unit without a 24 hr notice Other tenets confirmed that he did the same thing in their unitnnWalter proceeds to call the cops on my family for the cannabis we were smoking in our apartment From there I get raided and my stuff takennnFinally three days later Walter writes my family a non renewal lease form Basically kicking us out of our apartment By the way we were in the midst of a pandemic and have always besides once accidentally pod my rent on time and in fullnnSide note We got a new unit different from the one I had to clean in 2020 We lived there a year Absolutely nothing was wrong with it and we have videos Yet some how they used my entire 790 dollar deposit and still charged me 46 dollars for move out feesnnSo if you like being trespassed on being harassed for smoking they harassed people for smoking cigarettes on their porch and having the cops called on you then west hills is your place But if youre a normal human being Id suggest somewhere else to livennTheyll charge you 200 dollars for a smoking fee all awhile towing your car and never once do anything about the million pot holes in the lotnnAll theyll do is abuse you as a tenet because all they care about is money and nothing else more ... hide ...
