When I moved in they were pretty helpful and clear on things when I was getting settled I cant really hear my neighbors through the walls or anything which is nice The neighbors seem nice too at least in my building Everything is fairly clean My water tastes funny though I dont know how to explain it Thats really the number one thing that makes me wonder abo 2020-08-15T18:04:32Z
When I moved in they were pretty helpful and clear on things when I was getting settled I cant really hear my neighbors through the walls or anything which is nice The neighbors seem nice too at least in my building Everything is fairly clean My water tastes funny though I dont know how to explain it Thats really the number one thing that makes me wonder about staying Also after receiving complaints about the pool getting trashed they decided to limit the hours of the pool instead of supervising the pool better Its mostly teens that dont live here causing the mess Theres no supervision for it at all They also threat punishing the residents by closing it altogether I have called for a couple things that arent working very well in my apartment and have yet to hear back Its a nice place to live overall but I wish it was a little easier hearing back on things I could use help with The maintenance team works really hard to keep things going but maybe they just have too much on their plate or the communication with them and the office isnt good I dont know Everyone is super nice to speak with though Like youre not bothering them when needing assistance more ... hide ...

Would not recommend Unprofessional and disrespectful property managersnWhen my friend and I first viewed 79 Metcalf Apartments we were super excited to apply as they seemed to have good amenities and the apartments were being renovated which we loved Following our application they changed our movein date three separate times because the dates on their website were not correct and they did not have an apartment available even though we were told there was Eventually they had one that we would plan to move into on July 23 Saturday On Thursday July 21 I received a call saying there may be an issue with the AC unit in our apartment I was told that they would call me back Friday morning with an update I never received this call My roommate then called them around 3pm to finalize a few things and they never mentioned the AC still being down Following this I later received an email a call wouldve been more appropriate for a situation this serious at 615pm after the office had closed saying the AC was broken and that we could not move into that apartment this was sent less than 24 hours before our movein date and time We were unable to get ahold of anyone to discuss this On our movein day we showed up at the office at 10am to discuss this We were immediately rudely greeted by the assistant property manager I dont recall her name I explained the situation and she told us we were going to need to wait because they didnt start moveins until later however we werent sure if wed be able to move in They offered us an apartment that was nearly 100 square feet smaller than the apartment we originally were planning on moving into Later Blanca the only employee that was kind and respectful throughout this whole ordeal came over and told us that the property manager was not allowing us to move in at all that day unless we wanted to do a one bedroom for a week which we would be charged 300 for just to store our stuff in We were also not able to talk to the main property manager until about an hour later She was also very rude over the phone The assistant property manager later took the phone after about 1520 minutes and told us we were no longer allowed to talk to the property manager We asked if anything would be done to reimburse us for this inconvenience if we were to move in The assistant manager then told us if we were looking for anything we werent getting it After about two hours of talking in circles and not getting any answers while also being talked over and disrespected we told them we will no longer be signing a lease with them and walked away We had already had all our things and furniture packed from our previous living situations when we were made aware of all issues I would never recommend an apartment complex that treats the residents with such disrespect We were never once told sorry for the inconvenience by the assistant property manager or property manager The leasing consultant Blanca was the only employee who apologized for everything and who was respectful If you are looking for an apartment I suggest you look else where than 79 Metcalf apartments more ... hide ...

Helping my sibling move out of here She lived here for five years giving them LOTS of chances to get it rightn1 Could hear and smell her neighbors units 247n2 Rarely had working laundry facilitiesn3 Went an entire summer with no ACn4 Had a bathroom sink without a drain for two yearsn5 Had a squirrel living in her ceiling for multiple yearsn6 Dealt with rudeloud neighbors with frequent evictions around hern7 Now they are changing how they bill for water Instead of paying a flat fee or her own water bill they are evenly splitting the bill among four apartments two onebedrooms and two twobedrooms So she lives alone and barely uses water but she has to foot the bill for entire families in the building Its like getting a side salad and water when your friends get lobster then splitting the bill evenlyn8 They give windows for maintenance events seven days at a time so you never know when someone is coming to your apartment like when they added Google FibernnShe cannot leave fast enoughnnEdit That the complex latched onto the noise being the key problem here and nothing else tells you all you need to know about how they deal with issues more ... hide ...

My mother has lived here now for 3 years She says its fine She keeps to herself Sometimes I will see other tenants gather in the common area on the first floor hang out chitchat Everyone seems very nice Cindy has been very responsive whenever we had any concerns All in all I think its a decent place especially when you consider that it is a low income senior 2021-11-15T19:42:42Z

DO NOT MOVE HERE I lived in an apartment at Arcadia for almost 2 years I adhered to every single obligation on my lease including telling them about my 2 dogs before I moved in My dogs were put on the pet addendum and it said on my contract that I owed 0 in pet rent and didnt owe any pet deposit pet fee etc They ran an audit halfway through my lease realized 2022-06-29T20:46:50Z
DO NOT MOVE HERE I lived in an apartment at Arcadia for almost 2 years I adhered to every single obligation on my lease including telling them about my 2 dogs before I moved in My dogs were put on the pet addendum and it said on my contract that I owed 0 in pet rent and didnt owe any pet deposit pet fee etc They ran an audit halfway through my lease realized their mistake and contacted me telling theyre changing the price of things on my lease and that they have the right to do it even if I dont consent I was well aware of the lease and my rights theres even a clause in the lease stating in order to change any addendums or attachments that change must be in writing and signed by both parties I never signed anything of that sort They continued to harass me for these wrongful charges for over 6 months They sent me an email threatening to terminate my lease and remove my pets from the apartment I moved out at the end of my lease only paying what I was contractually obligated to pay They had racked on a bunch of late fees to my account as well for not paying the pet related charges They sent these charges to a collections agency where it was going to be submitted if I didnt pay and severely effect my credit I attempted numerous times to ask for proof of my signature on a new pet addendum that gave them the right to do this and they never could I escalated this issue to timberland partners and within a day these wrongful fees were dropped from my account Ive never had such a horrible experience and been bullied by a company the way I have been by Arcadia at Overland Park I never received any recognition or apology for their horrible treatment and harassment towards me I would give this place 05 stars if I could more ... hide ...

Does this place even have management I called for several weeks leaving many voice mails and no one ever called back I went to the office which they claim is open from 8 to 5 monday Wednesday and Friday but no one was ever there Very disappointing since the property looks relatively nice
