I would not recommend the Somerset Housing Authority to anyone I only lived there for a few months and had multiple problems that resulted in me moving out My 2 year old daughter and I lived alone in apartment 59 in Harris Hills My neighbors to my left 57 threatened to Blow my head off and Smash my car with their Durango Surrounding neighbors that have lived 2016-05-16T22:03:06Z
I would not recommend the Somerset Housing Authority to anyone I only lived there for a few months and had multiple problems that resulted in me moving out My 2 year old daughter and I lived alone in apartment 59 in Harris Hills My neighbors to my left 57 threatened to Blow my head off and Smash my car with their Durango Surrounding neighbors that have lived there for years have told me the man who threatened me has an AR15 and a hand gun I called the police but not much they could do without any proof I then reported to the House Authority the next day and they did absolutely nothing Then on top of that I woke up one morning to see a BED BUG crawling next to me I had to throw away my bed couch chair and my daughters crib The bedbugs came from the same neighbors in 57 The woman that lives there told me that she is infested and has been before I even moved in She also said they have been there 5 different times to spray her apartment The housing authority never warned me or mentioned the bedbug infestation next door and allowed me and my daughter to move in anyway Once I realized I wouldnt be able to get rid of the bedbugs I decided to move out and put the furniture I had left into a storage until so I didnt have to throw everything away On top of that I had to pay for a new bed and a new crib Today 5162016 I received a phone call from Melody the manager of the housing authority She asked if I moved out and I said yes and she asked if I would turn in the key and I told her I would mail it in She then started to raise her voice at me telling me I need to pay the rest of my rent I told her I wasnt going to cause I had to throw away my furniture rent a storage unit and buy new beds because of the bedbugs She then said THATS NOT MY PROBLEM and I told her on top of that you put me in an apartment next to two psychos and she replied THEY ARE NICE PEOPLE Correction it is her responsibility to get rid of the bedbugs and she obviously knew my apartment had them when I moved in This is not right whatsoever I didnt want to move out of my first apartment and lose the freedom of having my own place but for the safety and health of myself and my daughter I had too All Melody wants is her rent money and is not worried about the good people living there or is worried about the bedbugs I feel sorry for the next person who moves into apartment 59 in Harris Hills more ... hide ...
