If you are a landlord considering being involved with HANO please read thisnI got involved with HANO because I felt like landlords have a moral obligation to provide low income housing if they can and that is what HANO aims to donAfter a few years struggling with this public housing organization here is my conclusionsn Through a mixture of corruption and incompetency they are unable to fulfill their aim It is not just my experience but they will intentionally find reasons to fail you so they dont have to pay you For example the withheld payment for 3 months because of a cosmetic issue which was in fact fixed 3 months prior On top of that they are HORRIBLE to try and communicate with No one answers the phone and no one not even the supervisors will return your emailsnSeveral landlords I know are reaching out to city council members as it is clear that corruption is at play and unfortunately it is the neediest who end up paying the pricennIf you wish to provide affordable housing there are other ways to do so Save yourself a lot of headache and avoid this organization at all costs

Latoya Darrensburg the office manager is horrible she has the nastiest attitude disrespect the tenants every chance she gets she also be trying to fight them the maintenance man Richard Thompson is a stalker he curses out children all also the supervisor Hanna Smith with latter Blum is unprofessional these people is evil dont waste time or money its alway
