I do not recommend Park Charles or any of the apartment buildings run by Southern Management An allaround frustrating experience with often unprofessional or seemingly inept staffnn1Our movein was rough Management did not have our key fobs ready on our movein date and we had to wait 11 days for access to the building Thankfully they prorated the next months rent but it was incredibly frustrating for us to not have access to the apartment for the first 11 days of our leasen2During this movein chaos one roommate picked up a single key to our specific unit A little less than one month into our lease I requested the other two keys for myself and the other roommate but we did not receive them until seven weeks into our lease The three of us shared one key during this timen3The staff continuously directed us to a website and phone number for Landmark Parking to set up a parking account in the buildings garage This would have been helpful but they have not used Landmark Parking in almost a year I brought this to their attention and they STILL referred me to Landmark Parking throughout our stayn4In fact I received multiple communications directing me to nonexistent likely expired webpages This often was the case for important issues such as paying my utility bill onlinen5Two out of the three elevators were broken for a while which led to long wait times and very packed elevatorsn6Throughout the first several weeks of our lease we asked repeatedly where the apartments fitness center was located this information is not available online or in any welcome materials Each time we were given different answers and sent running around the different floors and buildings in the plaza Amazingly no one seemed to know where the gym was We did eventually find it thoughn7The dog area and pool were both under renovationwork during our stay so we did not have access to these advertised features Not much you can do about that though Maintenance work is no ones faultn8The leasing office closed on random days without warningn9The customer service was not good Sometimes people were pleasant but other times they were rude condescending unhelpful and just allaround seemed to have no idea what was going onn10I often had to send one two or sometimes even three followup emails in order to get a response And sometimes I still never got a responsen11The building is in a convenient area if you work downtown but it is not by any means a nice areannI give it two stars one star for having nice units with good views and one star for Tasha who works at the front desk the shining star of Park Charles more ... hide ...

Very nice property the leasing agent Mrs Hannah is great she will personally work with you through the entire process and will help you clear up any issues that may occur dealing with your screening report The property is well kept and it is very affordable considering the location it is in the middle and close to everything downtown
