Back in October 2001 I kept that business College from plummeting to the ground during a heavy wind storm event The building was still in the construction phase and a good share of the windows hadnt been installed yet and I was in charge of Security to guard the computer room and a lot of accoutrements that were already in the building That storm started blowing 70100 mphwind gusts in the open window holes and the glass atrium started to act like a balloon Scared me and I dont scare easily I had to find a way of stabilizing the building and being an old farm boy I knew tractors and hydraulics I saw a HILO hydraulic lift and totally disregarded orders by my bosses to not use any of the construction crews equipment I ran that hydraulic hoist up to be just snug tight to the steel I beam rafter to stabilize the entire atrium to ensure that it wouldnt collapse I am completely sure that would have happened had I not The next morning the crew came in saw the lift nicely placed up against the roof and let my boss know that whoever did that probably kept the building in one piece nAt first my boss reiterated to me and reprimanded me for using their equipment then some fella in charge of the school had heard about and saw what I had done and told me more than likely I really did keep that atrium from going down and even thanked me profusely and gave me a heartfelt and genuine hug I dont know if that gentleman was Eli Broad or if he wasnt I didnt have the time or energy to ask I needed to go home to sleepnnAnyway Im glad the business school is still upright and educating people I dont handle Security anymore but at the time I was glad I was there to help nThanks for your time in reading about my experience and I thought my experience with the Eli Broad building might be a good read for people who might not know what their school has endurednnPeace more ... hide ...

I have lived at Glenwood Apartments for 2 full years now and am about to start my third For the location being so close to campus the cost and the amenities I am so happy to have chosen Glenwood early on Of course there always seem to be incidents that happen each year but the maintenance service is very responsive and has almost always come the same day to 2021-08-20T13:15:55Z
I have lived at Glenwood Apartments for 2 full years now and am about to start my third For the location being so close to campus the cost and the amenities I am so happy to have chosen Glenwood early on Of course there always seem to be incidents that happen each year but the maintenance service is very responsive and has almost always come the same day to help me sometimes within hoursnI would highly recommend looking into an updated kitchen for its nice darkcolored wood theme an inapartment washerdryer to make your life easier and even an apartment on the ground floor Even though you dont get a balcony if youre on the ground floor in comparison to when I did live on the second floor I noticed that my electric bill was considerably lower likely because it is cooler on the ground floor and the AC doesnt have to work as hardnIt gets better East Lansing road services finally repaved Hagadorn and installed two median turns making turning left out of Glenwood 10x easier Especially when you want to go to the community HQ at Berrytree for a dip in the hot tub or for talking with the leasing officenOf all the great things I enjoy about this apartment complex I think my only gripe is that the Glenwood entrance sign is dimly lit on one side and on the other not lit at all making it a bit hard to see at night when trying to turn into the parking lot But that seems like an easy fix nId like to give a shoutout to Bailey and Austin and everyone else who helped me so much in the past few weeks in managing my needsany issues I was having Ive had nothing but great experiences with the staff at Berrytree Thank you for making these past few years great and for the future to come more ... hide ...

My father moved into Independence Village in December of 2020 Like many people who have to make arrangements for elderly parents I was nervous Moving to Independence Village was the perfect place for my dad to live I have been so impressed with the kindness and concern I have witnessed for the residents from all of the staff in every department As an example in July the staff arranged for us to have a birthday party for my father They served a meal and a special birthday cake for all of us to enjoy There are lots of activities available for residents Since my father is a bit of a loner the staff reaches out to him to get him involved I have even received pictures showing my 96 year old father playing a version of volley ball Having my father at Independence Village has provide our family peace of mind knowing that the staff truly cares about him and has his welfare in mind more ... hide ...

Sad to hear MSU bowling has closed this was always a fun experience I also heard MSU Dairy isnt making ice cream any more either I heard they are subcontracting from Mooville Great ice cream as well but not the same as our home tasting MSU Dairy ice cream
