I lived here for 2 years from 20112013 and I loved it At first there was the issue of the homeless people around downtown roaming the streets only because theres a shelter a few blocks away But its right across the street from the police and management worked very closely with them to rid any loiters And after a month or two there werent really any shady characters around there Occasionally yeah but you live in downtown itll happen The actual units are beautiful especially the floor Our unit was perfect and felt large even being a one bedroom loft style unit Couldnt hear neighbors The elevators occasionally was down just 1 out of the 2 But these are just general issues that no way are reasons to stay away from this place Parking was across the street which kind of sucked during events down the street hockey fans in particular made it suck But the only aggravations were general things that arent avoidable from living in downtown The location was awesome The units were great Management was by far the best Ive ever encountered I even made them er her Lorie cookies on several occasions If I ever move back to Minnesota the first place I look for will for sure be the commerce building And when I moved out I admit I didnt leave the unit as clean as I could have because I was in a rush but I got back the majority of my deposit Which was a surprise because I was expecting none of it to be returned because of how I left the place What else no annoying kids running around Yes its income based which is awesome I think Its secure above a Subway and across the street of an Erbert and Gerberts Only two things could have made it perfect 1 a washer and dryer in unit and a dishwasher Other than that my wife and I loved our experience there These other reviews must have been from prior to when management started working with the local police who now do regular patrols at least twice an hour to ensure the safety of the tenants and it was night and day difference compared to before they started doing that

Having lived here nearly 20 years in June I can honestly say that its been a great place to call home Of course there have been some problems over that time some with bad tenants and occasionally some slow resolutions to building issues but with rare exceptions most issues have been handled in timely fashion professionally and satisfactorily in my opinionnnI think Ive been a good tenant with competent and fair eyes on scene to help whomever has been managing the building I also think I have been respectful to my apartment never having caused a maintenance issue always reporting concerns and I think being as good for the property owners as they have been for menNo small thing in this worldnnIve been lucky to call this place home and really hope I can stay a little longer despite my very limited income and the raises to rent which inevitably occur Rent now takes nearly 80 of my incomennThis is long but I wanted to thoroughly explain my experience and thoroughly thank the management team
