BEWARE of Authority Property ManagementnnAfter 2 wonderful years we decided to buy a house not rent Spoke to APM about cutting our lease short by 2 months Not a problem they said We moved and APM refused a final walkthrough as the property owner decided to sell immediately to take advantage of people searching for homes after the Paradise Fire Then APM not only kept our security deposit they then sent us a bill for the complete new carpet in the old rental When we told them that was illegal since we werent given a chance to fix repairs and the fact that the carpet was over 15 years oldnThe OWNERS of Authority Property Management refused to talk to usand laughed when we said wed see them in Small Claims Go ahead Ive lobbed this at a Shasta County judge and won every timenReallynBecause not only did we GET OUR MONEY BACK the judge chewed the owners out because they didnt know what prorated was and in their businessthats DISTURBING said the judgenIf you rent through APMTAKE PHOTOS when you move in and EXPECT them to steal your security deposit California IS very prorenter especially when you are dealing with clowns like APMnWe sincerely hope APM goes bankrupt
