First lets acknowledge there are special circumstances when one lives right on Central in the War Zone With that being said that fact should BE the rationale behind why staff should be more involved in the property and its tenants not the EXCUSE behind why things arent any better than they are I live at Luna Lodge and there is a lot of issues there There are some tenants that are drug addicts there was even an over dose not 6months ago and there are some tenants that sell drugs like any other low income space which is why staff should be more involved Some addicts come in off the street and shoot up in the courtyard harass tenants and will walk around the complex trying peoples doors The manager Mr Duran is surly often smells of alcohol and will lie to you directly in your face about how he cant do something or that a given issue is out of his hands before he will do his job be it reframing a window screen picking up trash or the weeds cutting back the trees and bushes so wheelchair bound tenants visitors can access the sidewalks asking trespassers to vacate the premises the list goes on ask anybody here they will tell you the same thing The staff in the office know whats going on and are more interested in covering it up and trying to push those of us who complain out of the property such as myself rather than do what they know needs to be done to keep their federal tenant assistance Security cameras on the premises in public areas possibly a security guard for over night hours a resident manager that pays attention to his tenants and is more on top of the those doing selling drugs making sure large items do not collect by the dumpster and draw varmits 2 legged 4 legged or 6 legged or just locking the dumpster over night like so many businesses do to limit people in them more pest control in public areas for the ants roaches provide proper disposal areas for their clients who have medical waste be it needles air tubes cather equipment etcnThe tenants that are involved are a great crew at Luna I hear at Sundowner We here try to keep the place as clean as we can despite the trash dog feces everywhere and needles found in the open DAILY Not just on the sidewalk but in the gravel in the childrens play area by the dumpster even on the stairwells And it is a blessing that the Roadrunner food bank makes monthly drops for food box distribution There is indeed an event activity calendar with community hours for people to gather together as well as a resident liaison that aids in connecting tenants with community resources There is even a Bible study once a week BUT these things are wasted efforts at creating a sense of community if the residents dont feel safe the environs are hazardous to tenants and those of us who dare to shake the boat are treated as public enemy 1

Ive been here for 4 years Im not crazy about the downtown area however the staff such as management maintenance and house keeping are hard working and do care about your quality of life I have stayed this long as it is worth the honesty and integrity for my well being that staff provides The apartments are very clean it is orderly reasonable accommodations f

Ive been here for 4 years Im not crazy about the downtown area however the staff such as management maintenance and house keeping are hard working and do care about your quality of life I have stayed this long as it is worth the honesty and integrity for my well being that staff provides The apartments are very clean it is orderly reasonable accommodations fairly quiet on weekends and the tenants needs are metnWe are given opportunity to grow flowers and vegetables in the court yard which is always clean I think if you like the downtown area you would be very happy here There are rules such as strict no smoking in the apartments and court yard pet deposits and reasonable expectations of respect and courtesy The tenants look out for each other and often help each other The gym is great the community room is an added bonus Laundry mats on each floor and a parking garage only a few of the apartments in the downtown area have private locked garage parking All in all it is a community with caring people and reasonable expectations If you want to have screaming parties and ghetto property this place is probably not for you If you are respectful and can maintain a sense of appreciation its wonderful Verna the Property Mgr enjoys hosting get together for tenants such as fall festival Winter Holiday or Thanks dinners and potlucks spring fling lunches or Valentines get together It a Great place to be at I dont want to leave out our Service Coordinator Patricia Wow she is the best

I would give zeros stars if allowed we have been waiting since April for our toilet to be fix they got a new manager about a couple months ago and shes just as bad and unprofessional as the last one She always has her headphones in watch shows or movies on her phone when in the office even when coming to talk to residents They dont fix anything and theyre ru

Very nice apartments very poor management and personnel No one is rarely in the leasing office during posted business hours phone calls are never returned after multiple messages and attempts Property managers supervisors nor persons at Monarch Properties care about the safety and well being of residents at the apartment complex When there is crime going on

Very nice apartments very poor management and personnel No one is rarely in the leasing office during posted business hours phone calls are never returned after multiple messages and attempts Property managers supervisors nor persons at Monarch Properties care about the safety and well being of residents at the apartment complex When there is crime going on within the gated community it is of no importance to any one It is also supposed to be gated although multiple times in a 3 month time frame the security controlledaccess gates to the parking have been not able to close all the way and are not fixed for several days so any one can nearly get in the apartment complex I expected way too much from what first seemed like a wonderful place
