They have you do all the leg work for their energy assistance and weatherization assistance programs just to deny you in the end after a year and a half on their damn wait list My social worker recommened them to me because of my income being so low on disability and being disabled I have no furnace in my home and cant afford to get one either when I only make 82300 a month on disability and my Windows and doors bring in cold air in the winter I use my oven and my dryer to warm up my home during the daytime during the winter months All they did was put in new light bulbs and smoke detectors and a carbon monoxide detector in my home and also put a clamp around a pipe for my water heater Like my 73 year old father told me you have to be either black or have alot of children to get any help from anybody more ... hide ...

I wish I could give no stars Im a single mom and worked part time as a teacher last school year and when I applied for food stamps I heard nothing back from them for a month My case worker Jodi dragged her feet and kept asking for additional documentation every time I called because she never made any effort to call me She was extremely rude and even hung up on me once even though I told her Im a single mom who just needs help buying FOOD for my 7 year old son Finally after 3 MONTHS they sent me an approval letter in the mail FOR 29 A MONTH what is that going to buy One meal a month Then the approval letter said that I would be receiving my food stamp card in the mail Well its been a month since I received that approval letter and still i have not recieved my food stamp card I sincerely hope this lady loses her job and finds herself in need of help and has to deal with someone treating her exactly like she treated me and my son more ... hide ...
