I love this old building its on the national historical registry list it is over 100 years old and it started his life as three separate buildings Reached by the building several years ago and they updated it to the for the earthquake codes but they wasnt able to touch the outside of the building so its all the original brickwork and unfortunately with since 2021-04-29T10:45:43Z
I love this old building its on the national historical registry list it is over 100 years old and it started his life as three separate buildings Reached by the building several years ago and they updated it to the for the earthquake codes but they wasnt able to touch the outside of the building so its all the original brickwork and unfortunately with since its on the national historic registry list they wasnt able to update the windows that face the outside of the building so theyre drafting but its still a beautiful building There is a total of four floors one of them being a basement that has five units Our building Has wonderful floor plans has one bedroom in studio apartments We also have an elevator there is laundry facilities on site theres a community room there is also a computer room here and it courtyard of that is the smoking section in the basement which is all open air Before covid19 we had community dinners at least once a month arts and crafts that was led by some of the residents here and a few other community orientated things Theres a cleaning crew that comes through I think at least once a week and vacuums the community areas and cleans up the community areas of the building We are in the goose hollow neighborhood near Providence Park in stadium place Fred Meyers were not very far from The Pearl in 23rd avenue theres a lot of interesting things around thats within walking distance and its pretty quiet here for the most part he gets a little noisy during the summer with the timbers quit playing but must be expected usually by 1000 its pretty mellowed out we have a miniature golf place in a parking lot behind our building its one of those summertime pop up coming back this summer more ... hide ...

Destructive horrible no good neighbors Never ever move here unless you want slashed tires being stalked and harrassed by your neighbors The canopy dwellers have zero respect for others and have criminal records one of which is a registered sex offender

They had mice Not a good place to live My mom lived there for many years without infestation Then one day I say a mouse in her apartment and I went to work trying to catch the mice I called management and eventually they hired an exterminator if you want to call it that They first came in once a month put down one sticky trap and left They really didnt care about the tenants Plus my mom didnt want to move out she had lived there for many years and really had grown to love the other tenants So I personally put down 24 traps and caught alot of mice I also found where they were coming in and reported it They put down a trap outside the whole I found Not sealing it upI bought a door gaurd for her front door because the doors leading to the apartment common area hall is way too short it doesnt reach the carpet floor and I bought sealant and more traps and sealed up the holes and continued to catch mice until eventually the mice were gone The Maintenance staff was very amazing and helpful but with the rodent situation they could only do what Management allowed I dont blame the Maintenance staff at all Management was to blame they allowed the rodent situation to get out of hand they were extremely Racist which is awful for many reason but the building was named after an African American Woman Alberta Simmons who was a Pioneer in Oregon for the People of Oregon I knew her Ms Simmons was an Amazing Wonderful Woman I wouldnt recommend this place for your Elderly Family Members especially if they are a Minority more ... hide ...
