The apartment manager when I stayed was rude then he put us in an apartment next to someone who he knew had a bug problem but he wouldnt tell us what kind but it turned out to be bed bugs Then he didnt want to fix the problem we had to basically start over And the owners over the manager is never in the office and takes forever to get back to the tenant

I see where management said all the apartments renovations would be completed by July 2019 They were not Many of the apartments have had new kitchen cabinets installed without handles painting partly done no new carpet or flooring placed hallways without carpet or covering blinds off the windows for months and promised bathroom renovations not being done There seems to be no supervision or coordination of the work It is done a little at a time with weeks between more repairs Meanwhile the tenant is living amidst boxes packed with their belongs while they await all work to be finished Now the downstairs lobby is in construction while apartments remain unfinished I asked Channel 4 to investigate these unsanitary and unsafe conditions They would have done a story but the residents who were asked would not appear on TV I understand their position Theyre in a precarious spot Low income housing is hard to come by If they complain and the management who falsely claims all apartments have been renovated takes issue with their appearance on TV those residents might be discriminated against The dust affects those people with respiratory disease and wheelchair users have to avoid obstacles in their own apartments Capital Realty gets paid by the government to make up for rent a tenant cannot pay These people deserve a decent place to live I wish HUD would make an unannounced visit and inspect every apartment more ... hide ...

Living at Shemwood Crossing is extremely difficult Even though renovation is now scheduled I lived here 2 years and there was no laundry on site The brick walls within the units give off a prison vibe There are constant fights in the area which I live I was harassed severely by a neighbor My car was damaged on several occasions I took this complaint to the r 2022-07-07T15:59:09Z
Living at Shemwood Crossing is extremely difficult Even though renovation is now scheduled I lived here 2 years and there was no laundry on site The brick walls within the units give off a prison vibe There are constant fights in the area which I live I was harassed severely by a neighbor My car was damaged on several occasions I took this complaint to the rental office and nothing was done Maintenance is all men staff and one of them came in my home while I was indisposed They would wait until I left my home to enter on other occasions Whenever I would go into the office for clarity I would be ostracized and turned away with no resolve going forward Theres no way to follow the chain of command Any tenant just has to go with the flow of things here Noone is ever reprimanded unless its life or death here My children were also harassed by the same neighbor who damaged my car Living here was a disaster And theres no way to make living here any better more ... hide ...
