I have lived here for a total of two months and had previously lived in Excelsior on the park way over off 45 and Ella you can see my review for them there here soon This place is amazing The apartments are a great layout just the right size and affordable Theyre low income but honestly youd never guess it by looking at them I paid more for my other apartment than I do here and this place is 1000Xs nicer And the front desk people are a lot nicer too Only thing Id change is the fact they close the laundry room when the office is closed My boyfriend works overnight and he likes to go with me to do that stuff outside the house because of my epilepsy so we have to go elsewhere for laundry when he is awake But its still an amazing complex

HellonnI am not sure who this email should go to but as a concerned potential tenant I am appalled at how the property is kept especially the trash areannI am looking to relocate to the area and have driven through the complex on several occasions just to see if what I observed in the trash area was a one time occurrence but to my surprise it is a regular occurrence It is unfortunate that this area does not present well and can TURN OFF potential tenants who is interested in leasing at this propertynnAlso the picture gallery on the website is most misleading because when you compare what is seen on line and what is realitythe gallery pics are so FAR FROM THE TRUTH and the reality of the propertynnI am not sure whose responsibility it is to ensure this is corrected but it should be addressed IMMEDIATELY When a property is kept in shambles it speaks volumes to the office managementstaff It is NOT the responsibility of the maintenance crew to clean up or behind tenants when a HUGE trash receptacle has been providednnThere is trash and trash bags all over the grounds Seeing this has deterred me as a potential tenant to look other placesnnPresentation is ALWAYS KEYnnIve added a few pics for your viewing pleasure These pics were taken this morning 91021nnRegardsnnConcerned Potential Tenant

This place is falling apart and going down more The new manager doesnt care about the residents at all even though she pretends so She moved to live in the complex to get rent benefits and thus accommodate her friends and family to work there with her thats nepotismnThere is no security robberies happen very often and in broad daylight without management doing anything about it The maintenance guy is lousy this employee who is also a friend placed there by the manager herself and who is curiously occupying and living in one of the 4 suites that are in the building and which are the most expensive does not fulfill his work as supposed If any maintenance situation occurs in any apartment when you notify the office they dont even take note they just say ok we will inform maintenance but they spend up to weeks without response and you have to reinform them several times before they give the Service The friendly activities they advertise in their marketing strategies are fake they only make one a month the rest are the same residents who organize them carry them out and pay them with their money Rent keeps going up with every renovation right now a 2 bedroom apartment is at 86200 Thats not a price for retired aging people who just flip a social security check They receive federal housing program sponsorship as income restricted but only benefit them but the resident The staff in the office is very rude and attitudes at all times because they are endorsed and protected by their friend the manager they are employed not cooperating with complaints and basic needs of the residents The office is inaccessible most of the day the doors only open several hours and there is always a cardboard clock on the door indicating what time they will return plus the vertical blinds are always closed The entrance gate is broken down most of the time allowing access to the complex by anyone else The pool is never cleaned they only add chlorine once every two weeks but you can see the spots of mushrooms and yellow algae all the time causing all kinds of adverse health conditions to the aging people who use it Several maintenance employees have had to be removed by incompetents at their work and for unauthorized entry into residents apartments when they are gone and stealing belongings from them In addition to the pool is allowed access to anyone stranger and outside the community between and use it often you can see families with children using the pool and are not residents of the community Children are not supposed to be allowed as it is a place for seniors as there are several children there living with their parents who are also not over 55 years old the main rule of the community In the mornings you can see the school bus made the stop at the main entrance picking up the children and in the afternoons leaving them Elevators also break down very frequently and if its weekend all residents on the upper levels with difficulty mobilizing cant get out or get to their apartments If you are looking for a good and a safe senior place to live Mariposa at Reed Road is not right

So my mom is a resident at this complex for seniors And I personally think they have tried to improve there security But only time will tell if its enoughBut the grounds are never at there best and the elevator is questionable in her building And just this week it was not work again so if your loved one is not able to walk up and down stairs be aware of this
