I was the 4th person to move into Abbey Lincoln Court I was so happy the very first person to live in that apartment I was asked to speak at the opening ceremony where the major was even there I thought my life is getting better and better I moved in when I was 57 years old Things started going downhill quickly It began with the elevator not working for days at a time I lived on 7th floor top I understood at first new buildings have little issues to be worked out But the understanding stopped Not only elevator was out but there was not a manager on site The disabled and handicapped often were unable to leave their apartments The last time it was out for 15 days I had to cancel my surgery I could not climb 7 flights of stairs after back surgery My neighbor who needed a kidney transplant ended up having a heart attack and passed away She was only 38 years oldnI realize there are drugs everywhere but the traffic 24 hours a day was more than I ever experienced I worked as a CDP chemical dependency professional so I did not judge I tried to help some I thought wanted helpnWhat happened was I got robbed and a knife was pulled on me I didnt feel safe and management wasnt there enough or didnt care enough to do anything The building didnt have any security what so ever Homeless people were sleeping in our lobby and stairwell The laundry rooms were never cleaned The brand new building was falling apart right before my eyesnMy advice to anyone considering moving to Abbey LincolnDont

Laughingstock of a place Drove up and all the businesses around it are shut down with windows busted out and surrounded by fences topped with razorwire There was a cluster of 6 cops with their lights on and ambulance about half a block away dont know what was happening there Theres several big homeless encampment right next to the complex believe it or not that by itself that not necessarily a problem it depends on the encampment but this particular neighborhood felt very very unsafe S Jackson was always a bit sketchy but also full of life with great local food joints not abandoned and just outright BAD like it is now Loads of grungy hostile looking dudes loitering around garbage strewn everywhere The windows of the leasing office itself had been smashed in and boarded up so thats a great startnnI got there at 10am when they told me to arrive and nobody ever showed up So Im standing out there by myself for 30 minutes getting glared at by this pack of unwashed men and the leasing office never opened and never replied to texts or calls so I finally leftnnThe apartments here are small but really nice a friend of mine used to live here but Im not gonna pay 1400 for a studio apartment in New Jack City
