This has been the worst Management I have ever experienced I was told this was a non smoking building before moving in and after being given an apt with smokers under and on each side soon began smelling string cigarettes and skunk weed and if I cleared my throat the people in other side of wall would slam the wall or if I walked would turn TV up and pound I quickly found out this used to be a hospital the walls are really just partitions and hollow inside and there are gaps all around edging of all floors and also hap holes around light switches and huge holes under sinks and some spotsnon wall around other covers like electrical People smoke in vents of stove and bathroom and the air is made to move throughout all Apts so you get all their smoke smell the air quality is extremely lethal When I told management they insulted my intelligence and said I was ONLY one to ever say anyhing soon I found out that the people here have suffered under this complaining for years I was told many of their bad experiences with this management Management spent a lot of state money to make outside of building look good while inside the people are angry and take out on othersfurther management said to take notes and asked can I confront the people and said they can only do anything if SEE people smoke IN their apartments if this had been disclosed when I asked if was non smoking before I moved in all this wouldve been aleiviated They have a continual turnover of management I cannot ever explain to a normal intelligent human being the amount of 24x7 distress and suffering under a load of stink and hateful behavior I have endured just to exist I opted to wait to work on buying a house rather than move out and move again at my age and during heavy snow season the experiences others have told me is parallel to what I have shared If you care about your loved ones I would never let them come here You can hear people burp in apartments next to yours and due to the many complaints they sent letter around to stop people from smoking outside so now they smoke inside all the time they were also told not to smoke inside and asked residents to call and let them know however the same old rule stands that only if they SEE people smoke IN their apartments will they do anything and of course that is near impossible so of course they are only covering their base legally by sending that letter around and the smokers are emboldened knowing this managment cares nothing about the people to do anything It is mind boggling the cold responses I have gotten one imparticular is so cold hearted that when a senior lady died told her family that every day her things were in apt They would be charged for it as they were clearing it out then lady in apt Next to hers told me this upset at such coldhearted behavior as the lady who died was her friend and told also how the family were made to feel on top of their loss The people living in different apt told me of their constant struggles from cigarette smoke and their management woes also people also smell it in their places as well of course with air moving thru all units 24x7 Well I have taken time to share just a few of the stories if there is any justice or fair play on this earth there will come a speedy remedy I was told when signed lease they would let me out of it early and if course I see why only those with no alternative would stay in such conditions The man who used to live over the lady I smell smoke from said she is same one he had all his trouble with and complained and wrote letters but when I called management they said how do i know she smokes if I dont see her IN her apt Smoke and that they cant beat down her door HOW INSULTING Also the man who lived in my apt before me in different apt Now said he smelled it come up around his bedtooEnoughhope this helps someone more ... hide ...

Typical problems when u deal with low income housing Management has had quite a few new managers over this last year 2021 however still alot of good folks with ur occasional bad apples

The people at Emerson Manor care about thier community My friend lives there and I have to say with no reason to leave home its a nice place to see him and visit with the friendly tenants and Teresa Great care Great job

Too much gosip and back stabing by residents but the apartment are great and great location

My Mother just moved in They staff at Garden Terrace are so accommodating and kind They made my moms transition into her new apartment very easy and simple I couldnt have found a better home for her The buffet style dinner is restaurant quality and lots of choices Mom has already become more outgoing and independent This is not an assisted living or type of 2017-01-19T22:44:16Z
