Havent even moved in yet and already started having problems Management is a joke They show you a model room with a balcony and then when they give you an apartment it doesnt have one The worst part is nobody wants to take the blame for it or atleast try resolving the situationThey take two months of rent from me plus deposit because Im a student whos come from another country with no housing history over here And before even showing me the assigned apartment they tell me to sign the contract Now the leasing agent says Youve already signed the contract and you cant get anything so if you want to leave you can well be keeping the rent straight up fraud and they only sound sweet while ripping you off And after all this i read the other reviews and realized the mistake of applying here I shouldve read the reviews

This place had the most insane maintenance issues Ive ever seennIf you are considering living here get renters insurance its not required but you NEED ITnnThere was a day where I walked to the bathroom opened the door and the door fell off its bottom hinge I then stepped into the bathroom into a pool of water dripping from the ceiling Finally I reached over

This place had the most insane maintenance issues Ive ever seennIf you are considering living here get renters insurance its not required but you NEED ITnnThere was a day where I walked to the bathroom opened the door and the door fell off its bottom hinge I then stepped into the bathroom into a pool of water dripping from the ceiling Finally I reached over to my bath towel to dry myself off when I PULLED THE TOWEL RACK OFF THE WALLnnThe stairs leading to our apartment were actively breaking apart and staff ignored the maintenance request for weeksnnOur apartment flooded twice and we lived on the top floor Once waste water backed up and came out of the toilets The second time was during a storm when the kitchen ceiling collapsednnThis is a good example of what its like to live at Oakbrook 99 of the time its fine But suddenly things start to catastrophically fail I thought about giving this place two stars because the staff seemed to care at least a bit about resolving serious issues specifically only the floodsnnOakbrook Terrace is FAR too expensive for the amount of issues I had living there We were paying 850 and while it was a nicer place It just wasnt worth the trouble

I went to school here for three years I didnt like it then I dont know why I thought I would like it living there as an adult The building is poorly maintained and there are problems with roaches and bedbugs The noise level is terrible and the building smells from peoples pets using the carpet as a toilet area The regular property manager is rude and lazy

I went to school here for three years I didnt like it then I dont know why I thought I would like it living there as an adult The building is poorly maintained and there are problems with roaches and bedbugs The noise level is terrible and the building smells from peoples pets using the carpet as a toilet area The regular property manager is rude and lazy It doesnt take long to see that Of the many who sat behind the managers desk there was only one in the year and a half I resided there that made improvements and treated people decently But she was only filling in for the other who was out due to pregnancy I would never recommend this building to anyone
