My step mother lives here and its a nice enough place Parking is a nightmare if you dont pay for a spot and for a place dedicated to the elderly they have very limited space for handicapped parking And getting a wheelchair around outside is very difficult Same with the units themselves There are a lot of tight corners which can be difficult to navigatenThe a 2018-03-23T00:34:51Z
My step mother lives here and its a nice enough place Parking is a nightmare if you dont pay for a spot and for a place dedicated to the elderly they have very limited space for handicapped parking And getting a wheelchair around outside is very difficult Same with the units themselves There are a lot of tight corners which can be difficult to navigatenThe area is okay Its across from a park but its still in downtown Tacoma so take that for what its worth They frequently have issues with the elevators which is obviously a problem when many of the residents cannot use the stairs They have a nice little cafe type setup in the lobby and the woman who usually runs it is very nice its probably my favourite featurenThe units are pet friendly though Ive only seen small animals so Im not sure if theres a size restrictionnThe front desk people seem friendly with residents but seem to barely speak a word to guestsnOverall its a good option if you need something at a reasonable price but its not 100 perfect more ... hide ...

I lived here 2 years ago and I warn anyone who lives here to be very careful if you choose to rent The rent is kind of reasonable but they dont like doing maintenance if they have any way to get out of it and the windows are super inefficient It is SO COLD in the winter even with the heat turned all the way up And I just got a collections call for my last 2018-12-18T21:15:28Z

The New Staff is a joke They definitely tried to play me because I was younger than most of their tenants but my rent was always paid on TIME and IN FULL nnOne time they put a note on my door saying I didnt pay my full deposit haha mind you I had already been living there for two whole months Haha heres the kicker they said Pay with your next months rent or vacate you have a balance of 035 cents that was not paid with you rent YES YOU READ RIGHT THEY SAID 035 CENTS smdh The old staff was legit real nice caring ppl these new ppl are definitely ppl you should watch out for Exspecially if youre youngnnSo much more happened I just dont have enough time to explain it all But Im pretty sure the first review was fake so I just wanted to give ppl a real life heads up Point blank if there No body there name BOB just dont move there without really crossing your Ts and dotting your IsnnStaff of 20152016 were way better than this new staff that took overnnOh and my rent at the time was only 550 for a studio but I bet you they have you paying alot more nowSMH smh more ... hide ...

Merrill Gardens Tacoma is a wonderful retirement community that provides its residences with a beautiful campus exquisite dining loads of activities and the apartments are top notch This would and should be expected for what the residences pay which is comparable to other retirement communities of this caliber What takes Merrill Gardens Tacoma to the 5 Star level is the staff from housekeeping to the front desk the nursing staff to the General Manager When my Dad passed the sympathy and compassion expressed by the staff was sincere and heartfelt Mom is still there and when we go visit it is always enjoyable to catch up with the staff as well Bottom line the staff at Merrill Gardens Tacoma have become a second family to my wife and me more ... hide ...
