I have been here at Sterling Point 2 years come Sept 1st 2021 1st in a 2br and now in a 1br different areas of the community and both on 1st floornIn all this time the 1st and only pest encounter Ive had was a few months ago ants I reported the issue to the front office and the exterminator was by and tackled the problem just a couple days later Ive not seen 2021-08-25T07:00:47Z
I have been here at Sterling Point 2 years come Sept 1st 2021 1st in a 2br and now in a 1br different areas of the community and both on 1st floornIn all this time the 1st and only pest encounter Ive had was a few months ago ants I reported the issue to the front office and the exterminator was by and tackled the problem just a couple days later Ive not seen even one ant or ANY bug since then so reading other peoples reviews claims of scorpion and roach infestations baffles menAlso confusing was reading some of the unfavorable comments regarding the office managementstaffnMy only complaint on the matter is that staff members who had gone above and beyond for me ever since my very 1st visit to the property 2 years ago are no longer working here Obviously this complaint is no more than a matter of my personal feelings rather than a mark against the professionalism of current staff and managementnI regret that I can not recall the name of the lady who worked with me when I applied for my 1st apartment here after having been homeless for a year and a half and I miss KT who was instrumental in my transfer to my current 1br unit when my lease on the 2br was coming to an end I wanted desperately to stay here where Id been so content rather than have to move to another community She pulled a couple strings just for me and I will forever be grateful to and for hernI am quite happy here at Sterling Point Apartments and I look forward to calling this community HOME for years to come more ... hide ...

This by far has been my worse experience with renting an apartment I applied on 31521 my child and I were unfortunately in a bind as my lease ended with previous complex we had to stay in a hotel while awaiting approval for San Giovanni apts I was told it takes 2448hrs for approval everyday Ive been requested to bring in something additional for compliance 2021-04-01T15:53:10Z
This by far has been my worse experience with renting an apartment I applied on 31521 my child and I were unfortunately in a bind as my lease ended with previous complex we had to stay in a hotel while awaiting approval for San Giovanni apts I was told it takes 2448hrs for approval everyday Ive been requested to bring in something additional for compliance even had to have a Ex husband go down there to fill out a affidavit Id provide requested info the day of request Every time new information is requested it pushes your wait back to 2448 hrs As of this morning Im still awaiting a approval I dont have bad rental history gainfully employed and no criminal records Ive passed the credit approval its now 330 Im still being told they should have a response on approval by tomorrow At this point Ive had to send my child to her fathers and Im sleeping in my car since it will cost approximately 2000 to move in I can no longer afford the daily cost of hotel rooms The front office is absolutely no help they say they arent able to expedite this process its been 15 days my move in date was said to be 32221 I was told when I asked for my deposit back it would take 1418 business days for a refund Im a single mom with no family and friends in this state Im stuck sleeping in my car awaiting approval My only option at this point is to go to a news station and let the public know about this It should never take 15 days to know if your approved for an apartment or not I dont think this complex deserves even 1 star as they are fully aware of my situation and are no help Im still awaiting approval Ive looked unfortunately there are no other complexes with a available apartment in this area Update Today I was advised that it is past the 3 days notice in order for a refund they need to receive a denial from compliance which then it will take an additional 714 business days for a refund My application wont be denied which means they wont refund my deposit and I dont have an apartment I will be seeking legal help and assistance I dont advise anyone to rent or apply from this complex My leasing rep was Gracie Beltran she was new being trained by Ericka Cortez I requested management several times but each time was sent to Ericka who is not the manager BeWare of this complex more ... hide ...

These apartments are infested with roaches and my son has a phobia of bugs When we were moving in we asked if they had any bug problems and they said no We moved in on Friday and moved right back out because the roach problem was so bad that my son and mom wouldnt even go in the apartment

I am rating 3 stars currently as previously I have lived all over Metro Phx with prior in N Scottsdale before moving here in an emergency situation I am grateful to have been able to come here life changes in a second No warning nothing Nonetheless after my initial culture shock suffice it to say I truly feel that having lived in several apartments all ove 2019-08-26T04:16:25Z
I am rating 3 stars currently as previously I have lived all over Metro Phx with prior in N Scottsdale before moving here in an emergency situation I am grateful to have been able to come here life changes in a second No warning nothing Nonetheless after my initial culture shock suffice it to say I truly feel that having lived in several apartments all over the Valley and having 4 homes in a span of 32 years merits my rating somewhat of noteworthy reading below and in considerable consideration of making The Abby your dwellingnnLocation You cant beat the location In the heart of downtown Near Light Rail and Bus Line All of the Venues Near Downtown ASU Campus Historic Places Museums Lots to see and do all within walking distance Also a lot of homeless Salvation Army right down the street soup kitchens and other places to Volunteer which I found very cool Police Dept is close by as is Fire Dept so sirens do make noise a lot but you get use to itnnProperty Security cameras at both entrances front and back gate as well as office entrance and in laundry room I do feel safe for the most part If youre a smoker there is no smoking inside the apartment which can be a good thing Outside of gate onlynnThe Apartments little cabinet space Decent closets Handicap is ok Upgrade after move outnnManagement The New Management is by FAR better than it was than when I moved in a little over a year ago Young upcoming eager professional communicative on the ball and friendly It did take a while to renew my lease though I simply kept reminding him and we got it done He has no assistant so it simply takes bugging him at times He does come around I have no complaints with management at all Also Mgr constantly monitors security cameras when in office New mgr is making a brave attempt at weeding out the riff raffand no dogooders and making available to those who deserve a chance at affordable apartment living to better themselves This is a beautiful thing Manager has actually performed maintenance issues for me when maintenance could not Now thats a great manager nnMaintenance The New Maintenance is a little lacking THE REQUESTS DO GET DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER I DO WISH THAT THE PROPERTY WAS TAKEN BETTER CARE OF AS FAR AS CLEANLINESS This is not a difficult property to maintain How difficult can it be to pick up a little debris around inside the grounds when its there and walking right by it I do it all the time Take a little pride in what one does The laundry room is GROSS for the most partI complained to mgmt and it did finally get cleaned but geez it shouldnt take pulling teeth This should be on the list of things to do MAINTENANCE IS COMING AROUND nnPest Control DO WE REALLY WANT TO GO HERE This is an issue and is rampant Roaches Roaches Roaches keep food wrapped up and in fridge NO DISHES IN THE SINK Get sprayed twice a month its free Keep drains covered when not in usenBed bugs are said to be a problem WEIRD MICROSCOPIC MITES I have bites on me that I am being treated for which my Dr is trying to figure out MOLD MITES Biting gnatsThis is an old Property so there is mold inside the walls and vents due to pipe leaks There are weird bugs I DO KNOW THAT IF YOU NOTIFY MGMT OF ANY PROBLEMS THEY ARE ON IT ASAP They cannot guarantee that they will go away but they trynnAll in all with the area being as it is and the homelessness around there is only so much that can be done The property is GATED SECURITY CAMERAS ARE IN PLACE If you are considering moving here know that the apartments are being upgraded and are nice quiet affordable and location friendly ITS CENTRAL PHOENIX nIt is very well managed well maintained owned by former Gov Terry Goddard who may sell to Californians who will do who knows what with the property but you have a great place to live with a great location and affordable price I have read some scary reviews and this isnt that bad more ... hide ...
