The front office staff and maintenance are great Our apartment is nice with a great view So why not 5 stars Honestly because we have tons of issues with drugs crime and homeless people My wife has found two different people under her car trying to steal her catalytic converter She tried to stop the first one and he proceeded to run her over and injure her when he fledThey are installing locks to the buildings which should help a little but it will not keep them off the property Instead of addressing those main pressing issues The owner had decided to renew a contract with the predatory Midnight towing A company with under a 2 star rating because they treat people like dirt and are PREDATORY in their practices I wouldnt want my worst enemy to be towed by this company Ive not ONCE seen the security company that I was told patrols the property when we moved in But hey lets worry about cars with expired tags or parked wrong Expired tags should be the cops jobs not a criminal towing companies This contract hurts residents far more than it will help Please reconsider that contract To the office ladies and maintenance keep doing a great job

Berkshire apartments its the worst apartment complex in Colorado Springs Living here was a complete bad experience But if I could put 0 stars I would I always had loud neighbors things never got fixed with maintenance the property had lots of trash and dog poop on the lawns The police were called numerous times a month and there were countless reports of car breakins I never felt safe taking my dogs out after dark During the winter months my apartment was always cold because the windows were not sealed and insulated Snow would come through the windows and pile up on the windowsill Maintenance never came and fixed it I guess it was too much of a fix for them I had to tape my windows up during the winter to keep the snow and the cold out Management is very unprofessional Their current manager does not care about the residents What prompted me to make a bad review is that I had many problems with management when I moved out When it was time for me to move out I was told that cleaning was my only concern Unfortunately I got charged for normal wear and tear I live here for 5 years that maintenance never got around to fix When I called to ask about it the manager told me there was nothing she can do about it They are so unprofessionalnEven though I lived here for five years I would not recommend Berkshire apartments to anyone Take it from me I am so happy I moved out and found a new home

Lived here from late 2019 to spring 2022 This is a nice complex and its in a nice area close to shopping food gas stations and Fort Carson Theres some cute parks on the complex property and in proximity to it The staff has always been nice and professional Maintenance was always prompt and professional as well No major issues with the unit we hadnnSo now what Im going to say does not reflect any individual that works in the officennAt the time of renewing our last lease term they attempted to raise the rent by 38 saying they adjusted the rent because of the market I understand that there are market fluctuations and that property owners and landlords have the right to increase rent if they want but it doesnt change the fact that its purely out of greed that they press people to pay more and raise rent so significantly Corporate can ultimately choose to be fair and adjust rent fairly as wellnnWe were ready to move upon hearing that information There was no way we were going to pay roughly 1800 for an apartment when for that price we could find some other sensible options When we made them aware that we were seriously considering moving instead of paying the increased rent they then chose to work with us and lowered the rent which had previously been nonnegotiable and only increased rent by about 100 instead of the roughly 500 they wanted beforennLet me be very clear I am THANKFUL that we were able to work out something that was reasonable but I want people to know what they may face moving here especially as there is no rent increase limits in Colorado
