I have lived here for 15 years The first few months were ok However the last year has been problem after problem The first winter heating was completely out for several weeks Only option was a small space heater that the apartment provided Then a water pipe burst which shut down water to the apartment for 2 weeks and displaced all the residents Then ANOTHER 2022-04-22T22:03:00Z
I have lived here for 15 years The first few months were ok However the last year has been problem after problem The first winter heating was completely out for several weeks Only option was a small space heater that the apartment provided Then a water pipe burst which shut down water to the apartment for 2 weeks and displaced all the residents Then ANOTHER water pipe burst a few months ago which caused flooding through 5 floors of the building There is visible damage to my floors ceiling and walls from the water There are ugly stains on the walls Management has neither attempted to fix the damage nor offer a rentcreditnnThey also promised to replace my fridge at the beginning of the year and there has been no follow up despite repeated emailsnnMaintenance is poor as well Several times they have entered my apartment without leaving a note that they were there One time they left my door wideopen after they left My apartment was unlocked and open for almost 12 hours while I was at work Then leave the bathroom dirty whenever they enter and one times left several hoses and pipes on the floor without any indication for why there were there Several other tenants have mold growing in their ceilingsnnThe ONLY redeeming factor of this apartment is the rent and proximity to the hospital If you have any flexibility in those I would seek housing somewhere else more ... hide ...

I absolutely love living at Porter St Apartment living has its pros and cons Just like any complex the walls may not be the thickest but the staff amenities and location cant be beat Push through to get your tour and lease because it is completely worth it Nina the new manager is always THE most helpful and communicative

An apartment became available just as I needed a place so I decided to have a look The location and nice residents I met during my tour were the only positive featuresnnThe apartment shown to me had a beaten up doorframe serious water damage in the ceiling and a broken shower door despite being billed as completely redone It was also halfway buried in the ground so it is dark like a basement apartment and not a groundlevel unit as it was describednnI should have known this apartment would be a miss since the property manager and owner were each less than professional in setting the appointment The owner who gave the tour himself seemed very focused on having me apply for tenancy first and then decide to take possession if all of the many problems in the apartment I observed had been resolved to my satisfaction When I politely suggested that this might be putting the cart before the horse he ended the tour abruptly calling me combativennBottom line it could be such a gem but it is not Stay away or if you must take it due to location and safety I wouldnt pay more than 850 for the twobedroom quasibasement apartment I was shown Good luck more ... hide ...
