Ive lived here since Oct 2015 I have a decent one bedroom apartment which has and island Microwave came included because it is built in I even have a washer and drier Rent prices arent to bad for a market rate apartment Utility prices are just ok for gas and electric and I didnt have to have a deposit for my catsnDownside number 1 would be PARKING Each apartment gets one below ground spot which is great except for when you have more than one car There are signs posted saying people without a Gorman sticker will be towed in the above ground lot but random people still park in it and take up actual tenant spaces which is super annoyingnDownside number 2 would be the fire alarms They go off all the time For no reason I was taking a shower and thought there was a fire Needless to say there was not a fire and I busted my ass for no reasonnDownside number 3 this you will get most places but I really hate the random annoying neighbors who have people come over and then they throw up in the parking lot Seriously this is grossnThat being said they do keep up pretty well with maintenance outside No slick sidewalks or snow in the winter Mowed grass and trimmed bushes in the summer Also interior maintenance issues are handled pretty fast for the most partnOverall not a bad place for the price more ... hide ...

Our best living experience in Madison by far My fiancee and I have rented from Rock Apartments for two years now and have only the greatest things to say about Josh and Kayla our landlords They have gone above and beyond routine maintenance many times preemptively installing brandnew windows and doors to help lower tenants heating and cooling costs The properties are wellgroomed and the driveways are always plowed come time to leave for work Any need for maintenance is promptly responded to via an online request portal on their website The few times there has been a need to enter the rental they give ample notice maintenance never leaves a mess and a note is left on your door notifying you that your property was entered with your permission once they leave This is not an outfit run by some massive rental company whose agents dont care and are only looking to cheap out on everything as much as possible On top of all this they offer some of the best prices in town We highly recommend Rock Apartments and thank them for taking such good care of us during our time herennR E more ... hide ...

PROSnDowntown on King St two blocks from capital Heated parking available for 125mo Decent Views from rooms if not staring into the Marina condos across the street Community roomgrille on roof Movie theatre room with old digital projector Two used treadmills for residents to use Office room with a Dell space heater CONS Elevators or garage door routinely just stop working Either happened about once every other month Doesnt sound so bad until you experience it Water pressure is utter crap Its not that is weak its that there are air pockets that will hit you in the shower Apartments are small and overpriced Seriously the Madison Mark and Butler Plaza ranks as some of the most overpriced housing downtown Even newer better buildings w things like 50 mbps internet downtown are cheaper per sq ft Toilets sound like harrier jets when the back tanks fill We could hear our neighbors every time they flushed and they could hear ours Might be related to the water pressure problems Front desk NEVER picks up the phone You have to leave a message and they call you back even though the desk is staffed from 104 most weekdaysnnAlso they hire some pretty expensive cleaners when you move out Take pictures when it comes time to hand in the keys in case you want to dispute anything We were pretty thorough with move out even hiring our own cleaners but the Mad Mark cleaning crew managed to charge us for a nail removal from a wall for 40 more ... hide ...
